MNL48 2025 Auditions:

MNL48 is opening auditions for new members starting May 5, 2025! Under the vision of creating "a unit that embodies the power of talent and diversity," we are excited to welcome passionate individuals from the Philippines and around the world.

Since debuting in 2018, MNL48 has energized the Philippine music scene as a proud sister group of Japan’s AKB48. Now, we invite fresh talents to join us in shaping a dynamic, global future.

Audition Overview:

● Start Date: May 5, 2025

● Application Method: Online via www.mnl48.ph

● Initial Screening: Conducted online (full details to be posted soon)

Eligibility:

● Women aged 18 and above

● Passionate about singing, dancing, or performing

● Team-oriented and eager to learn

Preferred (But Not Required) Backgrounds:

● At least one-quarter heritage from outside the Philippines (no proof required)

● Over one year of living abroad

● Proficiency in languages other than English or Tagalog

● Graduate from a university overseas

We especially encourage applicants with multicultural backgrounds to showcase their unique talents. However, these criteria are not mandatory — diversity in all forms is welcome.

Successful candidates will receive professional training and have the chance to share MNL48’s appeal with fans across the globe. From Manila to New York, Tokyo to Toronto, we want to build a truly borderless idol group, where fans and members alike can be connected no matter where they are.

What is MNL48?

Pioneers of modern P-Pop

MNL48 made waves as the first idol group in the Philippines in 2018 and paved the way for a new era of the Philippine pop industry.

MNL48 is formed by a diverse group of young women who strive to improve their talents and give their best in all their activities.

MNL48 is a sister group of AKB48, which was founded in 2006. AKB48’s influence inspired the creation of various sister groups across Asia, including BNK48, JKT48 and much more.

    Announcement of the MNL48 Project Resuming Operations Under a New Management Structure
    Overseas AKB48 Sister Groups MNL48, originally formed in the Philippines, is pleased to announce that its operations have been transferred to the newly established Japanese corporation MNL48 Inc. (Head Office: 5F, Nishi-Azabu MK Building, 4-1-4 Nishi-Azabu, Minato-ku, Tokyo). Under this new framework, MNL48 will officially restart its activities and continue to expand its presence in the entertainment industry.
